Worcester Telegram & Gazette Editorial Lauds WPI PILOT Agreement

An editorial in the May 14 Worcester Telegram & Gazette applauds WPI’s new agreement with the city of Worcester to increase voluntary "payments-in-lieu-of-taxes." In addition to providing an overview of WPI’s contributions, the editorial also gives a perspective of what the agreement means to the city.  It also provides readers with an opinion of what WPI means to Worcester overall:

"With its attractive campus, serious purpose and renowned approach to teaching and learning, Worcester Polytechnic Institute has long been a source of pride for the city. This week, with the announcement that the college will make voluntary payments to Worcester under a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement, WPI has enhanced its image and generously helped its host city."
