The entrepreneurial mindset can be learned...

The Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) helps those in the WPI community interested in creating new products, companies, services, and technologies; technology-based businesses or social ventures; and those seeking how to gain an entrepreneurial mindset. The CEI fosters this mindset through multiple opportunities.

An entrepreneurship minor and several undergraduate and graduate courses are offered through the School of Business, though other WPI schools are offering entrepreneurship modules and courses. The CEI was recognized in 2005 by Entrepreneur Magazine's TechknowledgePoint survey of entrepreneurial schools  as a Top Ten entrepreneurship program among the nation's schools with an Entrepreneurship Emphasis.

We welcome our faculty, students, and alumni to discuss, in strict confidence, ideas for new technology-based businesses, products, services, and processes or social ventures. We may provide services based upon unique needs or suggest mentors, programs, or resources to help you move forward. (While some programs are open to the public, the CEI is a member of a regional business resource alliance, so we may refer public inquiry to one or more of the many alliance organizations.)
