The Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) is Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) university-wide entrepreneurship and innovation program. McRae Banks founded the program in 1999 with a mission to inspire and nurture people to discover, create, and commercialize new technological products and services, and to create new organizations based on those products and services, thereby advancing economic development and improving society. Frank Hoy is the current Director and Gina Betti serves as Associate Director.
The CEI supports technology entrepreneurship and innovation in the classroom and in business by providing model programs, resources, competitions, and individual and team mentoring. The School of Business at WPI offers undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship and innovation and an Entrepreneurship Minor.

WPI's entrepreneurship program, the CEI, was ranked in the 2005 Top Ten by Entrepreneur.com Top 100 Entrepreneurial Colleges among schools that have Entrepreneurship Emphasis Programs. WPI's high ranking was due to the breadth and depth of its outreach programs for those interested in entrepreneurship and confirmation of that value by its benefactors. The Third Annual Top 100 Entrepreneurial Colleges ranking was performed by TechKnowledge Point Corp., the world's first and only 24/7 online entrepreneurship research and referral exchange.
