Aaron Ferguson

  • Director of Disability Services

Aaron Ferguson began as the Director of Disability Services in the summer of 2011. He holds a Masters of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Vermont and has worked in disability services since 2003. Aaron’s professional background includes experience as an academic coach and advisor, disability counselor, outdoor education specialist, and rowing coach. His work with faculty and students focuses specifically on incorporating experiential modalities and elements of Universal Course Design.

Deborah Bordage

  • Office Services Coordinator

Deborah Bordage has worked at the Student Development and Counseling Center in the West Street House as an Office Services Coordinator since August 2007. She began in May 2011 to serve as the Office Services Coordinator for the Office of Disability Services as well. She is responsible for setting up appointments, collecting documentation, and coordinating other administrative aspects of disability services. Debbie recently graduated with her Master's degree in School Counseling. She cares deeply for the students and wants to see them all succeed.

Julie Mitchell

  • Exam Proctoring Center Coordinator

Julie Mitchell joined the Office of Disability Services during the summer of 2011. She has taken on the role of Exam Proctoring Center Coordinator, assisting Students and Faculty with the implementation of Classroom and Exam Based Accommodations. She also organizes the Departments’ Note Taking program. Julie graduated from the University of Metaphysical Sciences in 2009, and is currently working towards her Master’s degree with a specialty in Holistic Counseling. She currently facilitates classes and workshops in Meditation and Alternative Therapies. Julie works closely with clients in coping with and managing stress though mindfulness as well as creating a balance of Mind, Body and Spirit.

Heidi Robertson

  • Exam Proctoring Center Graduate Assisstant and Assistive Technology Specialist

Heidi Robertson joined the Office of Disability Services and Exam Proctoring Center in 2011 to assist in facilitating accommodated testing and implement new assistive technologies in the EPC. Heidi is currently obtaining a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering. She graduated from WPI in the class of ‘11 with her bachelors in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Chris Bourdeau

  • Graduate Intern

Chris Bourdeau began his year-long internship at WPI in Fall 2012. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Assumption College. As an undergraduate at Eastern Connecticut State University, Chris gained experience working with the Office of AccessAbility Services as a tutor, proctor, note-taker, and scribe. He hopes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services offered to students at WPI through the Office of Disability Services.
