E-Term financial aid

Financial assistance for E-Term (summer) is limited to Federal Direct Stafford Loans and auxiliary loans. It is important to remember that, Stafford Loan funds borrowed to cover E-Term costs will be deducted from loan eligibility for the following year. (Ex. If you are going into your junior year and borrow $3,500 to cover Term E Costs, your remaining eligibility for the following Terms A-D will be from $4,000 for a maximum loan of $7,500.) Auxiliary Loans like the Federal PLUS Loan, however, will not impact your aid eligibility for the following year.

If you will be applying for any type of loan for E-Term our office requires the E-Term (summer) Application for Student Loans.  If you are considering the Federal Direct Stafford Loan or the Federal PLUS loan we will also need to have received your 2013-2014 FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) records.

Once we've received these documents your application will be reviewed and if you are borrowing through the Federal Direct Stafford Loan program you will be notified of your loan eligiblity by an email to your WPI email address.  Federal PLUS loans and private auxilliary loans will be certified and posted to your WPI account.
