Challenge Gifts
Challenge gifts and grants, established by our generous alumni and friends, allow you to have an even greater impact on WPI through your philanthropy. Giving challenges encourage participation through various levels of matching.
WPI currently has two challenge gifts in effect: The Mike Dolan ’75 Challenge, established by WPI Trustee Mike Dolan; and the Faculty & Staff Trustee Challenge, established by two WPI trustees who wish to remain anonymous.
The Mike Dolan ’75 Challenge
If you graduated from WPI in the last 10 years (2011-2002) and make a gift to the WPI Annual Fund, WPI Trustee Mike Dolan ’75 will match your gift dollar for dollar. Gifts must be made to the Annual Fund—meaning unrestricted, giving you the opportunity to have the greatest impact on students and faculty. In addition, for the class from the last 10 years that achieves the highest participation rate, Mike Dolan will match gifts 2:1. Take the Dolan Challenge today!
Faculty & Staff Trustee Challenge
The purpose of the Trustee Challenge is twofold: it supports financial aid, an important area for students and for this university. Secondly, the challenge recognizes faculty and staff’s wonderful work and dedication to WPI. Participation is more important than the amount that you give. We hope the incentive of this Trustee Challenge will encourage faculty and staff to get involved and give during the Campaign for WPI.
