Job Description: The Air Force and Aerospace Studies Department (AFROTC) seeks responsible, dependable, organized, detail-oriented students to serve as uniform custodians. This position interacts closely with AFROTC cadets and cadre to inventory, acquire, and issue all cadet uniform items, which are government-accountable. Position includes counting uniform items, assisting cadets with sizing, determining order quantities, meeting with cadets to issue items, data entry, completing forms, and other duties as assigned. Occasional clerical duties include, but are not limited to, greeting visitors to the department in a friendly and inviting manner, answering the telephone, making appointments, copying, and assisting with a variety of special projects.
Requirements: Students must be methodical and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, as well as web data entry. Familiarity with Air Force uniform items is desired but not mandatory. Uniform training will be provided upon hiring. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, a positive attitude and be a reliable, mature, responsible, independent thinker who demonstrates flexibility and good problem solving skills. This position is only available for Federally Funded Work Study students.
