Job Description: The Air Force and Aerospace Studies Department (AFROTC) seeks a responsible, dependable, organized, detail-oriented student to serve as a Public Affairs/Alumni Relations assistant. The individual will update the Detachment 340 Alumni Access database using a variety of methods involving Facebook, email, web content, telephone communication, and investigative research with consortium schools. Position will include uploading new web content to the department website using the university's Content Management System - Reddot. Duties include uploading images, files, copying & pasting new content into web pages, etc. The individual will also post on Facebook at least twice weekly based on department current events and alumni activity, as well as update the department Facebook page as directed. CMS training and access will be coordinated as necessary.
Requirements: Student must be proficient and methodical in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word as well as Facebook page development. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a customer service orientation, a positive attitude and be a reliable, mature, responsible, independent thinker who demonstrates flexibility and good problem solving skills. This position is only available for Federally Funded Work Study students.
