Cultural Immersion and Orientation Program for Graduate Students
AVAILABLE FOR NEW INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE STUDENTS
Now that you are accepted to a school located in a country different from your own, how ready are you to adapt to a new culture?
How much do you know about the United States?
Would you be interested in learning more about common cultural habits, local places to visit, and get to know some of your fellow classmates before your academic classes begin?
For the first time, the International House is offering a Cultural Immersion and Orientation Program just for new international graduate students! Not only will you have the opportunity to learn more about American culture, but you will also have the chance to participate in multiple excursions to places around Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
This program will take place from Sunday, August 9th to Wednesday, August 19th, 2015, allowing students time to adjust before starting fall semester classes.
The fee for this program is $700. Not only does it include some of your meals, both on and off campus, but it covers two packed weeks of cultural, academic, and social activities. A $200 non-refundable deposit is due upon acceptance to the program. Housing is available on-campus upon request at an additional fee of $265 per week.
Applications are accepted until May 15th, 2015 and can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 508-831-6032. Due to the limited availability of spaces, we will be accepting students on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply today!
