UTC Ambassador Program Launches
WPI launches the UTC Ambassador Program
On September 15th, WPI's UTC Ambassador Program was launched at a celebratory dinner at the Higgins House. The UTC Ambassador Program is a leadership development program that targets women and underrepresented students of color. The program focuses on sharpening students' communication and presentation skills in preparation for presentations to middle and high school students on engineering topics. The program was born when UTC noticed a lack of women and underrepresented people of color in their leadership, so the goal is to build the leadership skills of our WPI undergraduates as well as spark interest and excitement about engineering in younger generations.
WPI is one of four schools participating in the UTC Ambassador program. RPI, UCONN, and Penn State are also UTC Ambassador schools. Currently there are 10 WPI UTC Ambassadors participating in the program.
