About Us

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is committed to supporting, advocating for, and developing students of color and women at WPI; because these populations have been historically underrepresented at STEM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) institutions, it is important that additional resources be available to facilitate their academic, professional, and interpersonal success. Our goal is to provide these resources so our students can be competitive within the STEM fields.

Moreover, we aid in the development of our students into responsible and productive global citizens, as well as provide educational opportunities for middle and high school-aged children to have positive exposure to STEM disciplines. Lastly we strive to promote an atmosphere of cultural acceptance, competency, respect, and civility throughout the WPI community as it pertains to the overall mission of the institution.
