Women's Scholarships

There are a wide variety of scholarship opportunities for women in STEM.  Some helpful online resources include FastWeb and CollegeBoard, which both offer free scholarship searches. The scholarships listed below, and most of the scholarships on the FastWeb and CollegeBoard websites, are national scholarships. Most towns and cities also have local scholarships available that are worth looking into. Good luck with your scholarship search!

  • Educational Communications Scholarship
    The award is $1000; 20 scholarships are awarded; the award is based upon academic achievement and leadership. A request must be sent by March 15, including your name, address, name of high school, GPA and year in school. The request can be sent to:

  • AWIS Educational Foundation Undergrad Awards
    The award is for high school seniors, with a 3.75 GPA; 1200 on SAT or 24 on ACT or higher; you must be planning to study astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, geoscience, mathematics, physics or psychology; you must also be planning a career as a researcher or teacher upon graduation of college.
