Tech Girls

Is your student interested in science?  Does she love math?  Does she want to build a skyscraper or participate in a lab dissection?  If she answers yes to any of these questions, or has a general interest in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, Tech Girls is an excellent after-school program for her!

Tech Girls is a WPI outreach program that encourages girls to pursue study and a career in the STEM fields by exposing them to many different fields of science and engineering along with a wealth of positive female role models.  During each session, WPI students and faculty facilitate a wide variety of hands-on activities that promote creativity, problem solving, and teamwork in middle school girls.

The Tech Girls program is open to girls in grades 6-8 and runs from October to April.  The sessions take place on Wednesdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm on the WPI campus.  For more information about the program, please contact the Office of Multicultural Affairs at multiculturalaffairs@wpi.edu or 508-831-5796.
