NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Attention Graduate Students - Learn about applying to become an NSF fellow.

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)

Each year, the National Science Foundation (NSF) supports up to 2,000 graduate student fellowships that provide 3 years of support over a 5 year period.  NSF provides a stipend of $30,000 to the Fellow and a cost-of-education allowance of $10,500 to the degree-granting institution on behalf of each fellow appointed.  Fellows must submit their own applications to the NSF via the Internet-based Fastlane system and with sufficient notice, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is happy to help with navigation and submission of applications.  For other questions, please contact the WPI Office of Graduate Studies

Please visit the NSF website to read more about this prestigious program for graduate students, to determine whether you are eligible, and to consider applying by the next deadline timeframes in November 2011.
