Give to WPI

WPI Marks

WPI's marks act as identifiers. They are the principal means by which the university projects and builds its "brand." Communications that represent WPI to external audiences or that are vehicles used to conduct day-to-day business must use the appropriate marks, as described in the sections below. Proper and consistent use of the marks over time will create immediate recognition for WPI and play an important part in shaping the right impression of WPI in the minds of important constituents.

All of these elements are protected by trademarks, as are the university's full name and initials.

The WPI Logo

red and black version

one-color version

As the primary identifier, the WPI Logo should be the first choice to represent the university on all communications. The seal in the logo is a simplified version of the WPI's official seal – WPI's founding date appears in Arabic numerals, rather than roman numerals.

The WPI Signature

The signature is the full name of the university set in Garamond. It is a secondary mark, typically set in a screen of black ink, is used to subtly reinforce the meaning of the initials in the WPI Logo. The WPI Signature may also be used alone as "signature stamp"--for example, on envelopes or back covers of publications.
