About the Office

Since its founding in 1865, WPI has been led by an extraordinary succession of presidents who have also been scientists, engineers, military leaders, and successful businessmen. Their dedication and innovation have shaped not only WPI but also the direction of science and technology education.

The Office of the President is located in Boynton Hall on the 1st floor. The President holds regular office hours reserved for meeting with WPI students. President Ryan’s current office hours can be found here.

The president's support staff is Donna Zuidema, Administrative Assistant.

The president meets weekly with the provost and the Institute’s vice presidents. He also meets biweekly with a larger group of administrators, including the academic deans and the dean of students. Learn more about this formal governance group...
