Fall 2011 Town Hall Meeting

Fall Town Meeting will take place on Thursday, September 8, at 10:00am in the Campus Center Odeum to discuss the state of the Institute. Live webcast will be available for those who can not attend in person.

I would like to invite you to the annual Fall Town Meeting on Thursday, September 8, at 10:00am in the Campus Center Odeum. The agenda includes reports from faculty members: Dean Art Heinricher on the NEASC re-accreditation process and how you can be involved; and Professor Mark Richman, who will report as Secretary of the Faculty on the various business items on the faculty governance committee agendas for the coming year. We will also hear from the Provost about the task forces he has implemented on matters pertaining to energy and globalization, and reports from the administration about campus construction projects, a new leadership development program, the new parking initiatives, and the return of community briefings. I will also give a brief update on the state of the institute.

And of course, we will celebrate the successful school opening with the barbecue on the Higgins House Lawn.

I hope that many of you will attend in person, and those who cannot be with us in person will take advantage of the streaming video option.

I look forward to spending time with you on September 8.
