Throughout the year, the Greek community hosts a number of valuable events. These events include, but are not limited to:
Greek Move In
Each year on New Student Move In Day, Greek organization members help all residential students move into their residence halls. This is an excellent example of the Greek community pitching-in to help the WPI community.
The Greek Carnival, hosted during New Student Orientation, provides a chance for Greek students to see each other after a summer away from WPI and gives them a chance to meet with new students. During the event students can listen to a band or DJ, play mini-golf, get cool giveaways, and take advantage of a number of inflatables.
Greek Week consists of a number of events designed to build spirit within the Greek community. In accordance with the year's selected theme, chapters compete to earn points to be named Greek Week Winners and get the Silver Bowl awarded each year to the Greek Week winner. Past events include comedians, bands, Greek Olympics, Talent Show, a chili competition, and a banner competition
One of the highlights of Homecoming, the float parade is an outstanding opportunity for chapters to showcase their float building talents and pride in their organization. Alumni from across the decades look forward to seeing their chapter represented.
Foundations New Member Retreat
This leadership conference, originated by Greek Alumni Council, offers workships for alumni, new member & chapter leaders.
Greek Leaders Institute (GLI)
25 Chapter Presidents, IFC, and Panhellenic leaders spend a weekend building relationships with one another and developing a vision for the fraternity and sorority community.
Work on Worcester (WOW)
Chapters and unaffiliated students go out into the community and perform community service. 250-300 students usually participate.
Each year, IFC and Panhellenic host blood drives for the WPI community.
Community Service Day
Planned by the Community Service Center, Greek chapters are assigned an area in the WPI vicinity in which to clean up garbage and trash. This is an excellent example of the strong commitment to serve one can observe within the community.
Greek Recognition Awards
This awards program recognizes the best and brightest of WPI's chapters.
