Reporting Community Service Hours
Report Your Service Hours
When it comes to reporting community service hours, the WPI Community Service Center is your most valuable resource.
To assist us in our efforts to record WPI's involvement in the community please fill out the Service Report Form (note, you must be logged into TechSync first to access the form) for all of the service projects that your organization is involved in. The report only takes a couple of minutes to fill out and is very important to WPI. Doing so will also make your organization eligible for various awards!
Submitting the Required 15 Hours of Community Service:
There are separate forms to complete if your community service is to be reported for the Federal Work Study Community Service Program:
- Community Service Work Study Pre-Approval Form -- For service with an agency not on SAO's list of approved agencies
- Community Service Work Study Completion Form -- For reporting community service hours to Financial Aid
Submitting Time Sheets (For Those Enrolled in the Full-Time CSWS Program):
You can earn your entire FWS/CSWS award by working in a community service position during the academic year that has been pre-approved through the WPI Student Activities Office. You can view these positions online at http://www.wpi.edu/offices/sao/cswsjoblistings.html. Students interested in enrolling in this program should contact Andrew Goss at email@example.com.
Once enrolled, your hours worked and time sheet processing will be handled through the WPI Student Activities Office. You will earn $10/hour for your community service work and will be paid every two weeks by direct deposit. Students should fill out and submit their time sheets in the Student Activities Office on the third floor of the Campus Center. Please be sure to to have your community service site supervisor sign your time sheet before you submit it to the Student Activities Office.
