Campus Organization Recognition of Excellence Awards (CORE Awards)
The Campus Center and Student Activities Department is thrilled to present the first annual Campus Organization Recognition of Excellence (CORE) Awards. The program will provide an opportunity for organizations and individuals to reflect upon the successes of the past year, as well as recognize the programs, members, and resources that make being a member of the WPI Community so special.
Below are descriptions of the six awards that will be recognized during a spring. To nominate you, an organization, or advisor, please download the award nomination form, which can be found by clicking on the links below. Advisor of the Year - This award recognizes a full-time faculty or staff member who advises a recognized organization at WPI and is identified as an individual who educates, supports, and guides students, while going beyond the call of duty. The actions and support of this advsior should also align with the core values of the Student Affairs Division (advocacy, citizenship, empowerment, inclusion, respect, and support). Organization of the Year - This award recognizes an organization that has successfully recruited and retained members, planned well-executed programs, and has benefitted the WPI and/or external community. Nominations are now being accepted online.
Emerging Leader of the Year - This award recognizes a student leaders of an organization that has shown great leadership in guiding their organization down the path of success both internally and externally. This individual does not have to hold an executive leadership position within an organization. Nominations are now being accepted online.
Program of the Year - This award recognizes the organization that has demonstrated excellence in planning and carrying out a comprehensive, continuous, or one-time project. The program should align with the core values of the Student Affairs Division (advocacy, citzenship, empowerment, inclusion, respect, and support). Coghlin Awards for Community Service - These awards are presented annually to recognize individuals or groups of individuals who have made valuable contributions to WPI and the Worcester community through service activities. The awards seek to recognize those individuals who have stepped forward as community leaders and those who have done so with a sense of determination and purposefulness that has benefited other individuals, groups, or society in general.
