100 Things to Do

With nearly 200 clubs and organizations, a host of vibrant events and activities, and an exciting urban environment, there is always something to do at WPI. Here are some ideas:

Events / Activities

  1. Go to the Goat’s Head, located in Founders Hall, to catch Tuesday night trivia, or a weekend Sox or Pats game, band, or comedian
  2. See a movie—Every Saturday and Sunday night at 8 p.m. there is a first-run movie playing in the Fuller Auditorium in Fuller Labs
  3. Check out the fun activities SocComm has planned—comedy shows, bands, trips, and more
  4. Join the Science Fiction Society for gaming night every Friday in the Campus Center
  5. Go to the RHC Suitcase Semiformal
  6. Attend WPI rivalry events
  7. Participate in the SAS Alma Mater contest
  8. Check your email—You will receive regular updates about events and activities on campus. It’s easy to hit the delete key, but if you do, you may miss some really fun events and activities
  9. Look for a WPI Rocks! Poster that lists some of the major activities and events on campus
  10. See what’s happening on TechSync—Log onto TechSync and check out the list of events happening on the right side of the page
  11. Walk in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life
  12. Connect with the Game Development Club on the Campus Center Stage every Friday night
  13. Go roller skating at Skylite

  16. Attend a religious service on or off campus

  1. Day trip with Zipcar: Eat great Italian in Providence, see the coast in Portsmouth, NH, hike in the Berkshires, shop in Kittery, ME, and more!
  2. Take the MBTA (train or bus) into Boston for the day from Union Station
  3. Go geocaching around campus
  4. Take CityRide. Free with your student ID, this Friday and Saturday night shuttle service brings students to desirable spots for food, shopping, and entertainment
  5. Hop on the Intercampus Shuttle to visit friends on another campus
  6. Use the WRTA to explore Worcester: With 42 routes around the city, it’s a safe, easy, and affordable mode of transportation
  7. Visit the WPI Archives and learn about history and campus lore
  8. Attend a service trip off campus

Shopping / Dining

  1. Go shopping at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets—only a 45 minute drive using Zipcar
  2. Check out The Shoppes at Blackstone Valley, just a short Saturday night CityRide ride from campus
  3. Go thrifting at the consignment shops on Green Street, Goodwill on Park Avenue, or the ReStore on Gold Star Boulevard
  4. Head to Price Chopper for a late-night snack— take SNAP!
  5. Check out Shrewsbury Street for lots of great restaurants
  6. Eat late-night sushi at The Sole Proprietor on Tuesdays
  7. Grab some frozen yogurt with friends at WooBerry
  8. Go to The Boynton for slider’s night on Mondays
  9. Enjoy delicious thin-crust pizza at The Corner Grille
