Healthcare Delivery Institute
Creating the Future of Healthcare Delivery
At the Healthcare Delivery Institute at WPI, we are continually reinventing healthcare delivery to keep people healthy. We are doing this by developing new ways to deliver quality care to wherever people may be - in health facilities, homes, the community, the workplace, or on the go. The Healthcare Delivery Institute continues to evolve towards becoming a national hub for creating innovative healthcare solutions, in a living laboratory - a central place where WPI, industry, academic, and goverment partners come together to co-create, realize, and demonstrate real -world solutions.
Working closely with the University of Massachusetts Medical School and various healthcare providers, the Healthcare Delivery Institute at WPI is unique because it applies a systems, technology, and process lens to healthcare:
- Engaging healthcare consumers to better manage their health.
- Promoting preventative care.
- Connecting and integrating care across providers and patients.
- Improving efficiencies throughout the delivery system.
The new model for healthcare delivery is not confined within the walls of a hospital or a doctor’s office. Our work focuses on what this new healthcare system needs to look like in the future, and what tools, technologies, and processes will be required to support it.
