SUPPLYING TALENT AND EDUCATION FOR THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY
The healthcare industry is one of the world's largest and fastest-growing industries and one of the most data-rich sectors, which is just waiting to be “mined” to improve processes and help people make healthier choices.
The industry needs talented people to make this happen. In a March 2012 Price Waterhouse Coopers survey, 70 percent of health insurers, 48 percent of hospitals and 39 percent of pharmaceutical/life sciences companies plan to hire technical informatics professionals over the next two years.
WPI is helping to supply talent to the healthcare industry by offering the following education opportunities:
- WPI offers a health systems engineering graduate curriculum through its current Master's and PhD concentration in health systems engineering within Manufacturing Engineering degree programs.
- WPI’s healthcare programs
- MFE Masters Programs
- MFE PhD Programs
- We plan to offer two new core healthcare-related education programs in 2013. (Please check back, as more information will be posted here as it becomes available.)
- WPI Corporate and Professional Education works with companies and healthcare providers to develop degree and certificate programs that are customized to meet business goals.
