- Studying the implementation of electronic health record systems, including personal health records, and the provider and patient workflow changes needed to use these systems to effect improvements
- Working with the VA New England Healthcare System to improve the disability examination process, using simulation to explore alternative process configurations
- Integrating secure messaging into care delivery
- Investigating the work system components in anticoagulation clinics, to explore how they interact and impact care delivery
Future aspirations
- To envision and evaluate new delivery models integrated across the continuum of care based on richer data about patient populations, connected information technology and innovative mobile devices.
