Lifetime Alumni Career Services

WPI's Career Development Center assists alumni from individual assessments to tips and tools on how to make the most of an interview, as well as workshops, webinars, and networking opportunities.  Our expert counselors are here to help--no matter where you are in your career.

One-on-One Assistance

The CDC staff is available to meet with you to discuss your career-related issues.  Appointments are available in person or by phone. Contact us by calling 508-831-5260 or email us at cdcalumni@wpi.edu.

WPI Job Finder: Online Job Postings Just for WPI Candidates

As a WPI alum, you receive lifetime access to  WPI’s Job Finder (not to be confused with jobfinder.com), our robust website that provides  job postings from employers specifically seeking WPI candidates. Job Finder can also house your resume so employers can easily review and download it. Log in to Job Finder to learn more about the current CDC events: career fairs, networking events, and workshops. To gain access to WPI's Job Finder, just complete and submit the online alumni registration form.

Critiques:  Resumes, Cover Letters, CV’s and Personal Statement

Want some honest feedback about your resume and cover letter?  We'll review your materials and show you how to best position yourself to future employers. In person, on the phone, or through email, we're available. Perhaps you're applying to grad school? Consider consulting with us before you submit your admissions materials for open feedback.

Resume Referral: The “One Click” Advantage Working 3 Ways

With your permission, we'll electronically store your resume in our Job Finder database. One click and employers will be able to directly access your resume upon request for qualified alumni. One click and you can forward your resume directly to an employer. Or, one click and we can refer your resume to an employer with immediate email notifications to you.

Career Search Database

Career Search is a powerful tool located on our Job Finder database. It's not available to the general public. It lists over four million employers worldwide. Target your search by applying qualifying criteria, such as industry, geographic location, or company size. Together with the Alumni Directory and LinkedIn, your search will “go.”

Webinars, Workshops, Networking Events

Look for our opportunities to participate in career-oriented programs for Alumni throughout the year via email announcements by the Alumni Relations Office, the CDC website, The Bridge, and CDC’s JobFinder.  Times for programs are selected to facilitate participation by alumni at work, unemployed, across time zones in the U.S. and overseas. We welcome recommendations for preferred times as well as suggestions for workshop/webinar topics

Reciprocity

If you wish to use career resources from another university, we can write a letter to their career center, requesting that they offer you the same level of service that you would receive at WPI.
