Building Commissioning Association Scholarships

Four Architectural and Civil Engineering students awarded scholarships

The mission of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA) is to “guide the building commissioning industry by advancing best practices and education throughout the building industry, and promoting the benefits of building commissioning to achieve buildings that work.” The BCA Northeast Chapter offers scholarships to promising students who are pursuing undergraduate studies in engineering, architecture, building construction, building energy use, and other fields related to building systems commissioning. The scholarships are also offered to industry employees in commissioning related fields to continue their education.

In December 2013, four BCA scholarships were awarded – and all four went to WPI students! The students are Sopheaktra Chhim (AREN, $500), Carly Giannini (CE, $500), Rachel Kennedy (AREN, $500), and Melody (Yijun) Wang (AREN, $1000). More information on the BCA Northeast Chapter can be found here.
