Professor Orr Named the 2011 ASEE ECE Distinguished Educator

The Distinguished Educator award is given by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Division for, “Significant contributions not only to ASEE, but also to the electrical and computer engineering education profession.”

The American Society for Engineering Education has named Professor John Orr as its 2011 ECE Distinguished Educator. The Distinguished Educator award is given by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Division for, “Significant contributions not only to ASEE, but also to the electrical and computer engineering education profession.” According to Leonard Bohmann, ASEE ECE Division Chair, “Professor Orr’s accomplishments in educating students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute as well as your professional service helping other educators educate their students, is truly distinguished.”

The American Society for Engineering Education Electrical and Computer Engineering Division is an association of professionals interested in electrical and computer engineering education and works closely with the IEEE Education Society in co-sponsorship of workshops, conferences, and symposia and in co-publication of a newsletter.
