Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowship
The School of Arts & Sciences is pleased to announce the application process for WPI’s Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowship awards. Since its inception in 1989, the Clare Boothe Luce Program has been one of the most significant sources of support for women seeking to study science, engineering, and mathematics. These distinguished Fellowships will provide two years of support to two women beginning their doctoral study in computer science and physics, fields where women have been historically underrepresented. In addition to working closely with their faculty advisor, Fellows will participate in regular mentoring activities with faculty and peer mentors to foster connectedness and academic and professional success.
Award Criteria:
- Incoming woman PhD student in computer science or physics
- U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
- Must complete WPI Application for Graduate Studies and separate Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowship application
- Students planning to attend medical school upon graduation are not eligible.
Selection will be based on academic record, potential for success as demonstrated by past academic or professional experience, personal statement, and the student’s potential for future impact in STEM.
The Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowship includes full tuition, stipend, health fee, and funds for professional development for each of the two years.
