Professor Christopher Larsen invited to IPAM's Fall Program at UCLA

Professor Christopher Larsen is to be an invited speaker at IPAM's upcoming weeklong workshop, "Computational Methods for Multiscale Modeling of Materials Defects," from December 3 - 7, 2012.

Professor Christopher Larsen was invited by the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) at UCLA to participate in its fall program, "Materials Defects: Mathematics, Computation, and Engineering," which runs from September 10, 2012 - December 14, 2012.  Although he was unable to attend the entire program, he has been given the honor of being an invited speaker at IPAM's upcoming weeklong workshop, "Computational Methods for Multiscale Modeling of Materials Defects," from December 3 - 7, 2012.

IPAM is an NSF Math Institute whose mission is to "make connections between a broad spectrum of mathematicians and scientists, to launch new collaborations, to better inform mathematicians and scientists about interdisciplinary problems, and to broaden the range of applications in which mathematics is used."
