An Abstract View of Retail Financial Products and an In Depth Look at the Mortgage

The retail financial services sector in the United States delivers a dizzying array of specialized products. During the first day of this seminar, Shane Chalke will present his product taxonomy of the space, providing a rationale for the various classifications of products, and a look at the delivery mechanisms for various product categories.

The retail mortgage market has undergone gut wrenching change over the past 5 years. Over the balance of this seminar, Shane Chalke will discuss the history of the mortgage marketplace, the structure of the market before and after the 2008 financial crisis, and his latest company’s efforts to arbitrage remaining inefficiencies in current product forms.
