Limited financial assistance is available to families with need. To receive aid, parents or guardians must provide the family’s adjusted gross income as reported to the IRS for 2020. To apply, applicants should check off that they wish to be considered for financial assistance on the application/registration form. If selected, the applicant will be notified about the amount of the award in the acceptance email.
Summer Scholars Program (Spark, Ignite, and Launch Programs)
Community partners, mentors, teachers, guidance counselors...Do you know of an underrepresented or underserved Worcester community student who has a strong academic record, an interest in STEM and can demonstrate financial need?
WPI is offering opportunities for eligible students who are entering grades 4 - 10 to attend one of our summer programs at no cost. Students who are accepted in the Summer Scholars Program will also be invited to return for subsequent no-cost summer opportunities. Preference will be given to students from Worcester Public Schools.
Due to the pandemic, this program will not be accepting new applications for Summer 2021.
Scholarship Opportunities (Frontiers Program)
Frontiers offers a limited number of partial tuition assistance scholarships that are awarded based on a family’s demonstrated financial need, a student’s academic achievement and promise, and the availability of funds. We operate independently of WPI’s Office of Student Aid & Financial Literacy.
We cannot guarantee that all eligible applicants will receive aid. Applicants will be considered for tuition assistance only after we have received all completed admissions and tuition assistance materials, and if they have been accepted into the program.
Additional Resources External to WPI
Here is a list of additional financial assistance resources that we are aware of. All of these are external to WPI and we are sharing them to assistance families and students help fund pre-college experiences.
