Pre-Dental

Admission to dental school is extremely competitive, allowing admissions officers to be highly selective. Dental schools seek candidates who have the ability to succeed academically, as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse medical teams and patients from various backgrounds.

Admissions personnel look at applications for evidence that a student can be successful while managing demanding course loads and processing vast amounts of information rapidly. They also look for indications that candidates possess strong leadership skills, are compassionate, and will maintain high ethical standards. WPI’s Pre-Dental program is uniquely designed to meet these objectives and set your application apart.

WPI’s project-enriched curriculum will expose you to the dynamics of working with a diverse team on a common goal. Our seven-week terms will prepare you to handle the stress of a busy workload and give you the ability to dynamically change what you’re focused on. State-of-the-art research facilities will help you grow accustomed to the various pieces of equipment you’ll work with in a dental practice. And our Pre-Professional Academic Advising office will be with you every step of the way.

You’re already determined to succeed. WPI’s Pre-Dental program is here to help you achieve that success.

WPI prepares students extremely well to have successful careers. Between the quarter schedule, project-based curriculum, and campus diversity, students are prepared to handle any situation. WPI gives you so much more than just a degree; you learn how to solve problems.
