You have the option to major in Professional Writing or pursue a double major in the areas of science, engineering, or management. Your classes will include coursework in a wide variety of different writing styles and outlets to learn how to most effectively apply your skills to help solve real-world problems.

Curriculum

The Professional Writing program is designed so that you may pursue a double major, and offers flexibility so that you can tailor a path toward your own individual career aspirations and goals. At WPI, you’ll benefit from coursework in writing and rhetoric, technical and digital communication, scientific and medical writing, and culture studies. Because of said coursework, you’ll have a significant scientific or technical concentration that will set you apart from graduates of most liberal arts institutions.
