In addition to accessing electronic resources and getting help, students enrolled in the online program, WPI faculty working off campus, as well as students taking WPI courses in other locations, can register for an Interlibrary Loan account to request both Gordon Library and non-Gordon Library owned books and articles remotely. Learn more about borrowing from Gordon Library's collection or about borrowing from other libraries.

Off-Campus Access

From off campus, all WPI faculty, students, and staff can access electronic resources through the library website with their WPI username and password. 

For those accessing library content from off-campus without going directly through the library website, please use the instructions here to download Gordon Library bookmarklets for use on your desktop, laptop, Android or iOS devices.

If not using the bookmarklets, when accessing or building links to library resources (such as in Canvas), add the following prefix to the link if the WPI username prompt does not appear: “http://ezproxy.wpi.edu/login?url=

Distance Learners

EBooks, E-Journals, and Other E-Resources

  • eBooks, e-Journals, and other e-Resources are available for WPI student, staff and faculty use off-campus. Users must login using their WPI username and password.

Books and Interlibrary Loan

  • Distance learners can register for an Interlibrary Loan account. When setting up the account, please use the address that the materials should be delivered to and use the Notes field to indicate distance learning status. Return mailing labels will be provided by the library for the safe return of materials.
  • To find materials locally, search Worldcat.org to see if a nearby library owns the material. Many academic libraries will allow visitors to browse and use materials while they are there.
  • Distance learners can also request materials through their local public library.
