WPI Students Inducted Into Math Honor Society

WORCESTER, Mass. Seventeen Worcester Polytechnic Institute students were inducted into WPI's Pi Mu Epsilon chapter this spring. Pi Mu Epsilon is the national honor society for mathematics. Brigitte Servatius, associate professor of mathematical sciences, is the chapter's advisor.

The inductees are:

  • Erik Alldredge of Carson City, Nev., a physics major who graduated in May with high distinction
  • Allan Assner, a senior majoring in actuarial mathematics from Stoughton, Mass.
  • Lee Blouin, a senior majoring in actuarial mathematics from North Easton, Mass.
  • Brian Charest, a senior majoring in mathematics from Tiverton, R.I.
  • Timothy Doherty, a junior majoring in actuarial mathematics from Sterling, Mass.
  • Henry Fink, a senior majoring in mathematics from North Andover, Mass.
  • Nathan Gibson, a sophomore majoring in actuarial mathematics from Gallatin, Tenn.
  • Jorge Guajardo of Caracus, Venezuela, a physics and electrical engineering double major who graduated in May with high distinction
  • Amanda Huang of Mt. Joy, Pa., who graduated in May with a degree in actuarial mathematics
  • Anu Karna, a sophomore majoring in mathematics from Lexington, Mass.
  • Marcie E. Noyes, a senior majoring in mathematics from Plainfield, Conn.
  • Jeremy Olszewski, a junior majoring in actuarial mathematics from Framingham, Mass.
  • Jeffrey Peterson, a senior majoring in actuarial mathematics from Sterling, Mass.
  • Ann Sbriglio, a senior majoring in mathematics from Hartford, Conn.
  • Jeffrey Spaleta, a junior majoring in physics and mathematics from Charlotte, N.C.
  • Ryan Tomasetti, a senior majoring in electrical engineering and mathematics from Johnston, R.I., and
  • Jayson Wilbur, a junior majoring in mathematics from Auburn, Mass.
