WPI Historian Steven Bullock Featured in CNN Report on the Masons

Steven Bullock, professor of history at WPI and an authority on the history of the Freemasons, was featured this week in the first part of a two-part special report on secret societies aired during CNN's prime-time news program hosted by Campbell Brown.

Bullock, author of Revolutionary Brotherhood: Freemasonry and the Transformation of the American Social Order, 1730-1840, the definitive account of the influence of the Masons in early American history, commented on the prevalence of Masons among early American presidents and about the origins of fears of the Mason's secret initiation rites.
