B-Term Return: COVID/Flu Clinics and Testing

The following message was sent to the WPI community:

Dear WPI Community:

We hope you had a restful break and you’re eager to begin B-Term and the second half of the fall semester.

As you prepare to return to campus and classes, please note that cases of COVID-19 are again on the rise and we expect a surge of cases this fall and winter, along with seasonal flu. Here’s how you can help protect yourself and the campus community:

  • If you traveled during the break, we encourage you to test 24 hours prior to returning to campus. Rapid COVID-19 tests are widely available from local pharmacies. If you’re near campus, you can get a test from the vending machines.
  • If you test positive, please do not return to campus. Students and employees should submit a positive case form and return to campus once they have completed their isolation period.
  • If you have not already gotten your COVID-19 booster, please get it as soon as possible. WPI is hosting on-campus clinics October 26 and November 3. Registration is required. Information is here.
  • Get a flu vaccine. You can get the flu vaccine, along with other vaccines, at the October 26 and November 3 clinics. Registration is required; click the link above.

Thank you for all you do to keep our community safe. We look forward to seeing you next week.
