Dear WPI Community,
This fall, WPI will break ground on a new academic building adjacent to Gordon Library and the Boynton Street parking lot. This is an exciting development, but there will be a number of changes during construction that may impact where you choose to park:
Boynton Street lot: A large portion of the Boynton Lot will be closed as of October 12, 2019: More than 50 spaces will remain open to faculty, staff, and commuting students. The designated short-term “Gateway” spaces will remain in the Boynton Lot for faculty and staff traveling back and forth for classes and meetings. At the conclusion of construction, a portion of the lot may reopen.
East Hall Garage: At the start of A Term, East Hall Garage will be open at no charge to faculty and staff to help offset the changes to the Boynton lot. Access will be via WPI ID card activation of the gate. After the construction of the new building, the fee for parking in the garage will be reevaluated.
The Gateway shuttle and SNAP service schedules will continue unchanged. The Park Avenue Garage will also remain open to all faculty, staff, and commuter students.
