Data science PhD Candidate Geri Dimas and Business School Professors Andrew Trapp, Renata Konrad published a paper in PLOS ONE, a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal published by the Public Library of Science. "Operations research and analytics to combat human trafficking: A Systematic Review of Academic Literature" analyzes the existing literature to identify current trends across identified works. The review provides insights on the extent to which the current literature aligns with the current human trafficking domain, identifying gaps in the existing research. The authors propose an agenda to serve as a platform for present and future Operations Research and Analytics researchers to advance the fight against human trafficking.
