As WPI moves into a fully operational status this summer, we are introducing a new, interim Remote & Flexible Work Policy for non-faculty WPI employees. This policy will remain interim and is subject to change before it is formalized through the Administrative Policy Group.
WPI recognizes that offering remote and flexible work (FlexWork) options has the potential to improve job satisfaction, enhance employee recruitment and retention, optimize building and space planning, and achieve a more fulfilling work/life balance, while continuing to support WPI’s vibrant and inclusive culture.

WPI encourages employees and managers to explore the FlexWork options described in the policy—this summer and throughout the academic year. To support these discussions over the summer, Talent & Inclusion will provide training sessions to division/department heads, managers, and employees.
