Join us for the 2nd Annual CGPS Symposium hosted by the Center for Global Public Safety at WPI in conjunction with academic partner, Tsinghua University. 

This full day event will focus on emerging technologies in the field of public safety in a global context.  This year’s theme will be: 

New Frontiers in Global Public Safety

We welcome our colleagues from Tsinghua University; Institute for Public Safety Research; and China Academy of Building Research as well as guests from industry, academia and government.

Highlights of the event will include:

  • Presentation by and award ceremony for 2018 Howard W. Emmons Distinguished Lecturer, Prof. Weicheng Fan, Director of the Institute for Public Safety Research at Tsinghua University
  • Two Keynote Speakers: Dr. Louis Gritzo, VP of Research at FM Global and Prof. Albert Simeoni, FPE Dept Head at WPI
  • Panel discussion with experts from academia and industry
