During this special networking event, hear from Mike Banic '87 who will talk with you about his journey from electrical engineering major to vice president of a major cybersecurity company. He will share stories about his unique professional path, engage you in conversation about his career experiences and challenges, and provide real-world advice and insight.
You will also have an opportunity to connect with your fellow WPI alumni and try some fabulous food and drinks.
This event will take place at the new Flights Restaurant in Mountain View. Appetizers will be served and cash bar service will be available.
Mike Banic is the vice president of marketing at Vectra. Previously, he was the vice president of global marketing for Networking at Hewlett-Packard. Mike joined HP from Juniper Networks where he held the roles of vice president of enterprise marketing and vice president of marketing for Ethernet switching. Mike joined Juniper through the acquisition of Peribit Networks where he was vice president of marketing. Mike has held product marketing and product management roles at Trapeze Networks, Rhapsody Networks and Extreme Networks. He started his career as a System Engineer at Artel Communications.
Mike was recently featured on CNBC's Nightly Business Review, discussing crypto-mining on college campuses.
Mike holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from WPI.
