The Center for Global Public Safety (CGPS) at WPI is hosting the Second Annual Industry Stakeholders’ Forum.  CGPS aims to create partnerships with members of industry, academia and local agencies to identify and address pressing concerns in public safety at both local and global levels.

This year the theme of the forum is Energy Initiatives & Their Impact on Public Safety.  We will have several guest speakers from the Energy Industry participating in this event.  There will be a panel discussion, break-out sessions and an opportunity to learn about the innovative research being done at WPI in this field.

We welcome professionals from many different industries such as Fire Protection, Water Quality, Food Safety and First Responder Technologies which are all directly affected by Energy concerns in uniquely different ways.

This event will focus on identifying the greatest research needs in each industry area as they relate to Global Public Safety in general and Energy in particular.  The ultimate goal is to determine how to best leverage the expertise and facilities available at WPI and CGPS academic partner institutions to drive education, outreach, and strategic alliances, for the development of smarter, safer, more resilient communities worldwide.

The registration window for this event has closed but please contact Carrie West at for more information.
