Smart World Research and Teaching
Some of the most exciting work on some of the grandest challenges facing our world takes place at blurred boundaries—of disciplines and of teaching and research. A new, state-of-the-art facility, focused on the smart world, will advance our ability to achieve interdisciplinary, translational research breakthroughs by enabling collaborative research and teaching among the computational sciences: data science, robotics, cybersecurity, autonomous vehicles, learning sciences and technology, interactive media and game development, bioinformatics, computational biology, neuroscience/engineering, architectural engineering, and smart design.
This new building will also house an integrated Student Academic Services Center for our campus, aimed at assisting students in selecting their academic path, in supporting academic success, and in career planning and development to help deliver on the promise of a WPI education.
You are invited to learn about this new facility and celebrate the philanthropy that is making it possible—including a challenge grant from the George I. Alden Trust.
