EMPLOYERS

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Civil and Environmental Engineering Virtual Networking Event

November 12 from 3-5pm

WPI will be holding the annual Civil and Environmental Engineering Virtual Networking Night on November 12 from 3-5 pm.  Any company interested in talking with and/or recruiting CEE majors - CE has degree programs in Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering - is welcome to attend.  We will be using the Handshake platform for this networking experience, which will provide you with the ability to have pre-scheduled 1:1 video chats with students as well as large group video events.  All these features of a virtual event can help you find highly qualified talent in a remote environment while sharing more about your organization.

In order to formally register, you must sign in, or create an account, in the Handshake platform.  From the homepage, click "fairs" and then search for "WPI Civil and Environmental Engineering Virtual Networking Event.” Once your registration is approved, your "fair" registrant will be able to create a schedule for representatives attending the event.  A guide for employers on the virtual experience in Handshake can be found here.  Please read it in its entirety to best prepare for this event.

STUDENTS/ALUMNI

Civil and Environmental Engineering Virtual Networking Event

for WPI Students and Alumni

November 12 from 3-5pm

The Civil and Environmental Virtual Networking Event on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 pm offers you a special opportunity to interact with companies seeking interns, co-op's and future full-time professionals in your field.  This event is exclusively available to students and alumni of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at WPI, including all programs such as Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering as well as Construction and Project Management.

Join the event in Handshake to get an email notification and receive updates regarding the event. While you can RSVP in Handshake, you will need to sign-up for specific 10-minute 1:1 chats and any group presentations in advance.  That link will bring you to the details on the page for the event.  To sign up for times, move to the “available sessions” tab.  If a company has slots open, you will be able to schedule a time to talk with them.

Please be aware that companies are still registering and creating their schedules, so check back frequently to sign up with more companies.  For a complete how-to guide on attending virtual fairs in Handshake, please click here.  For any questions on using Handshake for the fair, please contact Steve Koppi at WPI's Career Development Center at skoppi@wpi.edu.
