Join Leslie in this experiential workshop where you will learn various creative ways to pitch yourself, ‘hook’ your audience and convey your passion and purpose.

Biography

Leslie is an award-winning journalist and expert in experiential learning. Prior to joining WPI, she was a senior foreign correspondent and producer for CNBC, MSNBC, NHK-Tokyo and Reuters Financial Television where she specialized in reporting on international finance, emerging market economics, international development and global environmental issues. At WPI, Leslie is the co-director of the new Global Lab and media makerspace in the Foisie Innovation Studio, where she develops and leads programs in creative scholarship and the integration of engineering, science and humanities. She teaches Humanitarian Engineering, Social Entrepreneurship and Transmedia Storytelling. Leslie holds a PhD from the University of Colorado-Boulder College of Engineering and Applied Science, and an MS from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
