PRESENTER: Caitlin Keller, Instructional Designer, Academic Technology Center

Educational experiences have widely spread to encompass a blended, or technologically-enhanced, format where students are learning both in and out of the physical classroom.  It is imperative that the digital environment where students are engaging with their courses is designed deliberately to maximize the learning potential of all students.  Organization of course sites within the learning management system (Canvas) plays a primary role in creating effective learning experiences and should be actively addressed during the course design process.

This session will discuss design considerations for using Canvas effectively in enhancing student learning and will highlight exemplars and strategies that can be translated across content areas.  It is expected that participants are familiar with the basic functions of and terminology associated with the Canvas platform prior to attending.

It's understood that some may need to leave early for 1pm commitments.
