The Game Development Club Developers are having a fun and casual pitching competition (featuring fun and casual PRIZES), and we want all of you to join in!
What the heck is it?
We'll give everyone a theme, and then you've got about two hours to come up with a game and pitch around it! You're under no obligation to actually make the game, so no previous game making experience is required! Just show up and toss some neat ideas around. About halfway through we'll be providing some Surprise Twists that will require you to think quickly and creatively about your idea.
What are the Surprise Twists?
To find out, you'll have to come!
When and where is it?
The event starts at 6:00pm, on Friday, December 7th. It'll take place in Salisbury Labs 104, the room across from the vending machines. We recommend bringing your own laptop to make slides for your pitch, but Salisbury isn't too far from the IMGD Lab, so you can make your slides there if you so desire.
What's a competition without prizes?
We couldn't agree more! But, in the spirit of keeping things fun and casual, our prizes are fairly simple. We can almost guarantee that every participant will walk away with one!
I have a question!
Nice! We'd love to hear them. Send any questions on over to firstname.lastname@example.org.
So please, come on by! We'd love to have you guys for some game pitching fun before we all depart for the term! And from all of us here at GDC Dev, happy holidays!
