Description: This talk will cover the production of WPI’s first every on-campus Escape Room.  The Escape Room was designed by master’s degree students in WPI’s IMGD programs.  For one weekend last fall students, were able to participate in the room, testing their knowledge and puzzle solving skills in order to escape. Keenan Gray lead the production of the room and will be talking about his experience leading a team of artists, designers, and programmers in the development of the room.  This talk will also introduce several puzzle design concepts and share lessons learned as well as challenges faced by the team.

Speaker Bio: Keenan Gray is a game designer and programmer with an interest in evolving interaction mechanisms for games. His interests include virtual and augmented reality, board game design, tools programming, and pondering the impressive places that games have taken people over the years. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Interactive Media and Game Development at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
