In celebration of Black History month, and in support of Professor Vaudreuil's MU2722 History of American Popular Music class, Professor Joel J. Brattin will present the premiere of his documentary *Jimi Hendrix at the Isle of Wight*. Meticulous comparison of all extant film sources, second by second and then frame by frame, results in a revealing documentary highlighting Hendrix's guitar playing in his last professionally filmed concert, which took place just weeks before Hendrix's untimely death. This film presents a complete, unexpurgated record of his entire set list for the first time. The presentation will be held Thursday, February 22nd at 7PM in Salisbury Labs 115 Kinnicutt. It is free and open to the public. The use of any electronic media is not permitted during this presentation.
